Advancing endometriosis drug development -- from patient diagnosis to clinical trial design

Globally, endometriosis affects up to 10% of all reproductive-age women. Of these estimated 175-200 million individuals with endometriosis, many experience significant diagnostic delays. After receiving a clinical or surgical diagnosis, management of painful symptoms can be difficult as several approved therapeutic options for endometriosis are only partially effective and are likely associated with problematic side effects and long-term safety issues.
