She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. Karis’ career path has included roles at Athena Medical Group, where she demonstrated her proficiency as a rheumatology nurse practitioner diagnosing and treating various rheumatologic conditions.

Chris Bosler, senior vice president and head of the health systems operating division at Labcorp sat down with Ascension’s Sally Deitch MSN, MHA, RN, FACHE to discuss the partnership between the organizations. Ms. Deitch serves as executive vice president of nursing and operations infrastructure and has responsibility for Ascension subsidiaries Medxcel Facilities Management and The Resource Group (Ascension’s group purchasing organization).

Cheng Cheng, MD

Dr. Cheng received her medical degree at the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at University of Buffalo, followed by an internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She then completed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at University of California San Francisco and participated in a non-ACGME fellowship in bone and mineral disorders at Washington University in St Louis. Prior to joining Labcorp, she worked as a clinical endocrinologist at Northeast Community Clinic in Los Angeles.

Understanding advancements in employee drug testing: DOT approves oral fluid

Effective since June 1, 2023, the Department of Transportation (DOT)’s new rule gives employers the option of using a urine or oral fluid test and indicates that oral fluid is permitted for all DOT modalities. It also has recently been approved for use by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in federal workplace drug testing programs. Read more about the DOT’s rules and regulations here.
